Val Silidker, MS: Founder & Director of Inspired Life Workshops

Val Silidker, MS, founder of Inspired Life Workshops and Expand the Love, is a Deep Ecologist, inspirational speaker and transformational catalyst, as well as an event producer, writer and facilitator, who has been building community and empowering individuals and groups both nationally and internationally for over 15 years. She has a MS in Ecology and Education with continued focus in experiential learning, ecopsychology, psychosynthesis, cosmology, wilderness therapy and systems thinking.

Val designs, directs and facilitates transformational workshops, where participants can explore themselves and their interconnectedness with life, and works intimately with individuals to inspire them to ask deeper questions, discover their purpose, passions, strengths and the depths within them.

Along with this, she has worked in Big Cypress National Preserve as an environmental educator, taught Ecology and Deep Ecology at Florida International University for over four years and is a Florida Master Naturalist through the University of Florida. She studied humane education with the International Institute for Humane Education, worked closely with systems scholar and eco-philosopher Joanna Macy, is a certified facilitator of Awakening the Dreamer Symposium through The Pachamama Alliance and immersed in the study of The New Cosmology at Genesis Farm with Miriam MacGillis.  Val has been a social, educational, community and environmental activist and speaker for over 15 years and co-founded Rattle the Cage Productions in 2001, an award winning video production group that investigates and produces documentaries concerning environmental protection issues.   She is currently engaged in psychosynthesis and Soulcraft work with eco-depth psychologist Bill Plotkin.

Val is also a certified Sivananda yoga teacher and licensed massage therapist for over 18 years, specializing in neuromuscular therapy, deep healing techniques, guided meditation and nutrition. With a background in performance, including regional theatre, commercials, television and music, she starred in The Jackie Watson Show between 2002 and 2004 and was the vocalist with Ana Kanpa: Spirits of the Earth for six years and Song of the Soul for three years.

Val spends time connecting, deepening and strengthening her relationship with Nature and the psyche, as well as community, developing social permaculture techniques, reading and learning, traveling to explore the many beautiful sacred and wild places on this Earth and living passionately from the heart.
